A site for exploring authentic truths of the Catholic faith

Welcome to Catholic Beliefs

Have you ever genuinely wondered what the Catholic Church teaches about a particular subject?  If so, you've probably noticed that the mainstream media, activists, politicians, fallen away Catholics, uneducated Catholics, and "cafeteria Catholics" with a not so Catholic agenda (including active clergy), all have different opinions about what the Catholic Church teaches regarding a myriad of topics.

This website was created to help you find the truth by providing you with the Church's actual teachings, taken directly from the Catechism of the Catholic Church.  Additionally, this site will provide you with the following information with respect to each topic of interest: What did Jesus teach about the topic; What does the Bible teach; What did the early Church Fathers teach; and What have the Popes, the Magisterium, and the Saints taught?

What you will find is that the Catholic Church has consistently taught the same faith for the last 2,000 years.  If someone is telling you that the Catholic Church is changing its position on a significant issue of faith or morals, there's a good chance that you're being led astray.  Just like "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever" (Hebrews: 13:8), so is his Church, which is the body of Christ, the "pillar and foundation of truth." (1 Timothy 3:15)

So, say a prayer for all those that are confused, and send them to this website to read the truth!

Why Research Catholic Beliefs?

“We have to ask questions. Those who do not ask do not get a reply. But I would add that for theology, in addition to the courage to ask, we also need the humility to listen to the answers that the Christian faith gives us; the humility to perceive in these answers their reasonableness and thus to make them newly accessible to our time and to ourselves.”

Pope Benedict XVI, March 21, 2007
